Spent a Sunday afternoon with friends at 阿毛燉飯 so we could use the coupons before they expired.

The restaurant has cute cartoon figurines standing in lines...

However, their risottos succck. What I had was seafood risotto with marinara sauce. The bread was stale, and the rice insipid except it's tear-jerking hot. Most of all, all "seafoods" in the dish tasted cold and fishy despite tons of garlic added to the bowl.

Their corn soup tasted powdery and I don't bother to post it. If you are a serious person about your meal, stay away from this restaurant and its branches in 士林 and 西門町.

To get over the shock of the food (we did chat for hours, however, enjoying it's conditioned air and lack of other customers), we moved to a Starbucks nearby.

The green tea had a unique color that resonated with the iPhone.

Green tea and hot chocolate. Hmmm... not so yummy.

This Starbucks has a beautifully worn floor.

This was how we spent the Sunday afternoon while it's pouring outside.

Bought this book for $1 at Cupertino City Liberary last year.

Tess Gerritsen is not a familiar name to me. But her historical thriller "Bone Garden" is quite good. It later surprised me that the novelist was a Chinese descendent born in the United States.

A cup of hot chocolate and a thriller are a great combination in a stormy Sunday afternoon.

A stroll at the Shihlin branch of Elite Books was a perfect ending of the night.  Night scene outside the book store. The rain stopped and crowd receded. People tend to rest early at Sunday nights to prepare for the next week.
